It's a prequel to highly successful Alien movie series. A group of archeologists find similar paintings in the ancient civilizations in which man pointing to stars in sky. So they start their journey to those stars where an earth like planet is present. Things go horribly wrong there and their journey becomes a journey for saving humanity. Movie is highly confusing and some of the things cannot be understood in the movie.
